Buhari was said to have been battling an undisclosed ailment and was recently discharged from intensive care before his condition got worse.

Hanan Buhari, daughter of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, has expressed gratitude to Nigerians for extending forgiveness to her father.

Recall that the ex-Nigerian leader died on Sunday, July 13 at a London clinic after an undisclosed prolonged illness.

Buhari was said to have been battling an undisclosed ailment and was recently discharged from intensive care before his condition got worse.

Recall that he was buried at his residence in Daura, Katsina state, on Tuesday.

His death has, however, triggered mixed reactions including tributes and criticisms on social media.

Hana, in a recent interview with BBC Hausa, disclosed that what she would miss the most about her father was his sense of humour.

While thanking everyone for forgiving her father, Hana said though his demise is hurtful, she has accepted it as the will of God.

“What I will miss most about him is his sense of humour. I look up to him as a part of me. I want to thank everyone who forgave my late father.

“On behalf of our family, we are grateful. We have nothing to say to them except thank God. He disciplined me to study, pray, and do things that made us happy.

“That is what I can say. But since Allah has decreed it, Alhamdulillah, I had the chance to be with him and read the Qur’an to him,”
she said.
