The Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda has gotten involved in a road accident.
The incident happened while travelling from Daura to the state capital along the Daura-Katsina Road on Sunday evening, July 20, 2025.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, who confirmed the development in a statement said the accident was minor and the governor’s condition was stable.
“Katsina State Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda was involved in a minor road accident this evening along the Daura – Katsina Road, while carrying out his official duties in service to the people of Katsina State," the statement read.
“We are pleased to confirm that the Governor is in good health and stable condition, with no serious injuries sustained.
“As a precautionary measure, the Governor is currently receiving routine medical evaluation at a medical facility, where he is being attended to by qualified medical professionals.
“Governor Radda remains in high spirits and expresses his gratitude to Almighty Allah for His protection, as well as Katsina citizens and well-wishers for their prayers and concern."
