Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Temilade Openiyi aka Tems has earned 1 billion streams with her collaborative effort with Future and Drake.
The song, "Wait For U' has now surpassed 1 billion streams on the platform.
She now joins Wizkid, Rema, and Tyla as the Afrobeats artists with Spotify’s Billion plaque.
‘Wait For U’ gave Tems her first Grammy plaque after winning the Best Melodic Rap category in 2023.
The song also made Tems the first African artist to debut at number 1 on Billboard Hot 100 in 2022.
