The week-long operation, conducted between July 15 and 22, involved coordinated efforts by the Nigerian Army, the Air Component, Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), and local hunters.

The Nigerian Army announced on Friday that troops of Operation Hadin Kai have arrested seven suspected logistics suppliers for terrorists during intensified counter-insurgency operations across Borno and Adamawa states.

The week-long operation, conducted between July 15 and 22, involved coordinated efforts by the Nigerian Army, the Air Component, Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), and local hunters.

The military said the raids targeted key supply routes and logistics networks supporting insurgent groups in the northeast.

“Several terrorist supply routes were disrupted in Adamawa and Borno States, leading to the arrest of seven suspected logistics suppliers and the seizure of motorcycles, food items, fuel, and communication devices,” the Army said in a statement posted on its official X (formerly Twitter) account.

The troops also carried out successful raids and ambushes in Gwoza, Kaga, Bama, Monguno, and Konduga Local Government Areas, reportedly neutralising multiple terrorists and foiling coordinated attacks.

Among the arrests, one suspect was found in possession of unauthorized Starlink communication equipment, while another was caught transporting large quantities of hard drugs.

Further discoveries included arms, materials for improvised explosive devices (IEDs), and high-tech communication gear allegedly used by insurgents.

In Bama Local Government Area, the Army reported the voluntary surrender of ten family members of known terrorists.

Additionally, on July 22, troops intercepted a consignment of high-tech equipment and supplies en route to Gamboru, a strategic border town with Cameroon.

The Chief of Army Staff commended the bravery of the troops, reiterating the Nigerian Army’s commitment to defeating terrorism and restoring lasting peace in the region.

“These operations are part of our broader strategy to sever logistics lifelines and dismantle the remaining terror networks threatening the peace of the nation,”
the statement concluded.
