According to him, the leadership style in Kano State has continued to attract opposition party members into the NNPP.
A mammoth crowd of All Progressives Congress (APC) members have defected to the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) in Kano state.
The APC members were welcomed into the NNPP by former presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
He took to his X page on Friday to make the revelation.
He revealed that the mass defection took place on Thursday and involved thousands of residents from across Kano State who pledged allegiance to the NNPP.
“Yesterday was a momentous occasion, as I received thousands of defectors from the All Progressives Congress (APC) into the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP)”, he wrote.
The former Kano State Governor, also revealed that during the event, he promised the defectors “equitable treatment and cooperation” in NNPP.
According to him, the leadership style in Kano State has continued to attract opposition party members into the NNPP.
“Speaking during the event at my residence in Kano, I welcomed the new members into our party and I promised them equitable treatment and cooperation.
“The distinguished leadership style in Kano and our political leadership keep attracting more people into our fold, and I encourage those considering joining to do so without any hesitation”, he wrote.
