Former President of Performing Musicians Employers Association of Nigeria (PMAN), Tee Mac Omatshola Iseli, announced Lasode’s death in a post on social media on Friday.
The popular singer, born in December 1955, d!ed on Friday at the age of 70.
Tee Mac wrote, “Obafemi Lasode (born 4 December 1955), a Nigerian veteran musician, film director and producer, songwriter, music producer, and playwright died today.
"My condolences to all. Respectfully Dr Tee Mac.”
