In a trending video on X, Super Falcons players were inside a bus in Lagos when Echegini, who scored the third goal in the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, WAFCON, final against Morocco, told Asisat Oshoala that she wants to open window in order to feel the fans.
But the 24-year-old received a warning not to open the window from one of her team-mates.
Speaking in Pidgin English language, Echegini said: “Asisat [Oshoala], me I wan open window.”
Her team-mate whose face was not captured in the video, responded: “No open nah, na Lagos you dey, them fit thief your phone sit down.”
