The state government sealed Daniel's Sagamu mansion and luxury hotel.
Officials from the Sagamu Zonal Planning Office, who arrived in government-branded vehicles, took down earlier contravention and quit notices and replaced them with sealing and demolition orders.
It is understood that the operation was carried out hastily, without prior notice to occupants.
The action follows a Notice of Contravention issued last Friday by the Ogun State Planning and Development Permit Authority, alleging that Daniel’s Asoludero Court mansion and nearby Conference Hotel were built without proper permits, setbacks, or approvals, contrary to the state’s 2022 Urban and Regional Planning Law.
A three day-Ultimatum was given to address the violations or the Properties will be demolished.
Meanwhile, the appearance of a large campaign poster for Abiodun’s 2027 senatorial bid, placed directly opposite Daniel’s residence, has worsened tensions.
The move, residents view as a deliberate political provocation.
Both men hail from Ogun East Senatorial District and are expected to clash in 2027, with Daniel likely seeking re-election and Abiodun widely believed to be eyeing the same seat.
