He also called for an investigation into the conduct of the airline staff, noting that both parties should be held accountable for their roles in the confrontation.

Nigerian singer, Baba Dee, who is the elder brother of the late music star Sound Sultan, has commented on the viral Ibom Air passenger incident, describing it as a textbook example of how a strong case can collapse in seconds.

In a video posted on Instagram, Baba Dee said Comfort — the female passenger seen clashing with Ibom Air staff and security at Lagos airport — had every right to demand answers if she felt wronged. But, he stressed, the moment she put hands on law enforcement, “she lost both the moral and legal advantage.”

“Excessive violence, no matter the provocation, shifts the narrative and weakens your legal position,”
he said, adding that in situations like this, public sympathy can switch sides very fast.

According to Baba Dee, even if Comfort’s initial grievance was valid, the smartest move would have been to stay calm and let the evidence speak.

“Chaos is not courage,” he warned. “Sometimes restraint is the most powerful statement you can make.”

He also called for an investigation into the conduct of the airline staff, noting that both parties should be held accountable for their roles in the confrontation.
