Late DJ Olu alongside his friend Chime passed away on October 7, 2017.

The first lady of Ogun state, Bamidele Abiodun has mourned the death of her son, Gbemiga aka DJ Olu.

He would have turned a year older today August 14.

The late DJ Olu alongside his friend Chime passed away on October 7, 2017.

He was 24 years old.

Writing a tribute for him on Instagram, Mrs Bamidele wrote

‘’2017 October, Lamissa to me, "Mummy you know, no matter how happy a situation is for us following this, it will never be complete because Gbemiga will not be there. We have to learn to live with that."

How right she was at such a sad reality.

It is your birthday again, and I am grateful, so grateful to God for many things. Happy too, but my happiness is always interrupted by the jolt of the reality, you're not here to celebrate with us, nor we with you.

Despite my faith in God, I am honest with myself enough to know this is an enduring pain, imagining what you would look like, how different my life would have been having you here, all the plans you had for yourself and for me; our precious, very honest moments. Oh, my heart breaks as I write this, and imagine what could have been, but God knows best and allowed things to be this way.

My Gbemiga, continue to rest in peace, as we continue to remember you fondly on your birthday, because I know this is what you would have wanted. Love you this birthday, and always.''
