Elohor in a now viral video was seen being brutalized by operatives of the Agunechemba, a state security outfit put together to fight rising crime in the state.
Dr. Nonye Soludo, wife of the Governor of Anambra State, has reached out to Ms. Jennifer Elohor, the female National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member who was seen in a viral video being brutalized by security operatives in the state.
Elohor in a now viral video was seen being brutalized by operatives of the Agunechemba, a state security outfit put together to fight rising crime in the state.
The operatives were said to have invaded the lodge where the corps member lived and brutalized her, also stripping her naked. The action has been roundly condemned by all segments of the society, with some people calling for the disbandment of the security outfit.
Meanwhile, the wife of the governor on Wednesday reached out to Ms Elohor to sympathize with her on the incident.
Mrs Soludo reportedly called and sympathized with the corps member, also inviting her her to the Government House for a meeting.
“But as at the time, the lady was no longer in the state,” an aide of the governor told DAILY POST.
“She (Soludo’s wife) has asked her to reach out to her once she is in Anambra, and the lady was very happy with the humility of the governor’s wife and was pacified. We are expecting her here very soon,” the aide said.
