A young man identified as Chigbo, who was thought to have traveled to Europe, was discovered “chained and locked inside a hut by his family members” for the past five years in Etiti village, Igbo-Ukwu, Anambra State.
It was gathered that Chigbo's family members told his friends that he had travelled abroad in 2021.

A video making the round on social media shows the moment Chigbo regained his freedom.
“I’ve been locked here since July 3rd, 2021,” he said, clearly relieved.
This chilling discovery has thrown the entire community into shock and outrage, with many demanding for justice.
The owner of the house claims the young man is mad hence they decided to chain him in this hut since 2021.
