Tragedy As Vehicle Crushes 100 Level Student To De@th In Yobe

Amina lost her life in the accident that occurred yesterday around 5:30pm on Gujba Road near the University’s Gate, involving a Keke Napep and a vehicle.

Amina Yakubu, a 100 level student of Education Biology at the Yobe State University, has been crushed to de@th in a really tragic road accident.

Amina lost her life in the accident that occurred yesterday around 5:30pm on Gujba Road near the University’s Gate, involving a Keke Napep and a vehicle.

Four other occupants of the tricycle sustained various degrees of injuries in the accident, including one of the University’s matrons.

The incident has thrown the University community into state of mourning when the Acting Vice-Chancellor Prof Bukar Jamri, on behalf of the University community, extended his heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased.

The VC through his Information Officer, Abdulmumin Kolo Gulani, said Amina, was a promising young lady from Potiskum Local Government Area of Yobe State.

“The University management is working closely with relevant authorities to ensure the injured students receive necessary medical attention. The safety and well-being of our students remain our top priority, and we are deeply shaken by this tragic incident.

“May the soul of our dear student rest in Jannatul Fiddausi, and may her family find solace during this difficult time”,
he said.

The deceased has been buried according to Islamic rites.
