Nollywood actor, Afeez Owo has confessed having a serious fight with his wife, Mide Martins.
According to him, the incident happened as their marriage nearly collapsed in 2014.
In a recent interview on the YouTube podcast ‘Behind The List’, Afeez admitted that they had a serious fight at the time, but social media made the situation worse.
The thespian said he did not handle the situation properly and had thought that their marriage would break up at the time.
Afeez added that the issue they had was something they would have settled without allowing social media to escalate it.
He said, “There was a time rumours spread that my wife and I had separated. In truth, that was the first and only serious fight we’ve ever had in our marriage. Thankfully, we reconciled and came back together. I admit I didn’t handle it well.
“I scattered things, and at some point, I even thought, Is this how it’s going to end? Social media made it worse because it was something we should have resolved privately. Out of anger, I left and stayed in a hotel for two days, while she went online saying I had abandoned her and the kids. But by God’s grace, we overcame it.”
