A man has been arrested by men of the Ekiti state police for allegedly be@ting his wife to de@th.
It was gathered that the incident happened in Efon Alaaye.
On the day of the incident, the man had waited for his wife to join him in the farm but she arrived late. And for that, the accused reportedly be@t her mercilessly on the farm, leaving her with bruises and writhing in so much pain.

The community members say after a few minutes, the man ordered the woman to get water from the nearby stream but she slumped and died beside it as a result of weakness.
Confirming the incident, the state police command spokesperson, SP Sunday Abutu, said the accused is in custody and will be charged to court as soon as investigation is completed.
