Ologunagba said the PDP was handling internal issues through democratic processes rather than authoritarian measures.

Debo Ologunagba, the National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP,  has opened up on why the party is yet to discipline the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.

He gave an explanation while speaking on Arise Television’s Morning Show on Wednesday.

Ologunagba said the PDP was handling internal issues through democratic processes rather than authoritarian measures.

“We’re following through and solving our problems methodically in a democratic way. This is not a command structure, because it’s not a one-party system owned by one individual. You’re going to have different views, different ideas, different comments, and you try to ensure that you bring all of these contestations of views and ideas together,” he said.

Ologunagba added that the party was committed to due process in managing its affairs.

“I struggled not to go into personal issues. However, straight to the point, this party is based on organization and processes, and we have strived very strenuously to follow those processes, leading to this new arrangement of the National Convention, which is elective and has been scheduled for Ibadan on the 15th and 16th of November 2025. Every organ of this party, every stakeholder, was informed and specifically invited,” he said.
