A Nigerian man known to be a very high profile drug trafficker has been arrested by Indian authorities for attempting to smuggle drugs
Samnneji Chukwuemeka aka Moses Jeffery
A 40 year old man, Samnneji Chukwuemeka aka Moses Jeffery, has been arrested by India's Customs officials in New Delhi India on Friday June 26th.
Samnneji has been on the radar of the Indian police since 2011 after his attempt to smuggle drugs from India to Holland was foiled.
Superintendent of Customs (Preventive), Shillong, D. Bhattacharjee, said in a statement to the press:
"He has been under security radar for nearly four years after we foiled his attempt to smuggle 645 grams of brown sugar (heroin) from Shillong to Holland way back in August 2011 through a courier agency. Finally, we managed to arrest Chukwuemeka only after the immigration cell at New Delhi alerted us that he has been detained by Delhi Police for over staying in India."
