Former federal lawmaker, Shehu Sani, has reacted to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan’s recent remark that Nigerian politics is dominated by betrayal.

He urged young Nigerians aspiring to go into politics to learn from Goodluck Jonathan’s experience.

Jonathan had recently claimed he was betrayed while seeking re-election in 2015.

Jonathan made the remark in Benin, the Edo State capital, during the 70th birthday celebration of Chief Mike Aiyegbeni Oghiadomhe.

According to the former president, politics in the country’s standard is about betrayals.

Sani himself is not a newcomer in Nigerian politics.

He last served as the Senator representing the Kaduna central district in the Nigerian Senate.

“GEJ just said that Nigerian politics is full of betrayers, liars and traitors.

“I hope young people aspiring to join politics are listening to him and learning from his experience,”
Sani wrote on X.

Jonathan is widely being tipped across Nigeria to return to politics in 2027.

Some political observers believe that he is the right candidate to bear the flag of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the next general election.
