The deceased was a former president of the Port Harcourt University Medical Students’ Association (PUMSA).
The remains of Dr. Oluwafemi Rotifa, a 28-year-old resident doctor at the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital (RSUTH), who tragically passed away after allegedly working a 72-hour stretch without rest, have been laid to rest.
He was buried at the Port Harcourt cemetery on Friday 5th September, 2025.
The deceased was a former president of the Port Harcourt University Medical Students’ Association (PUMSA).
His de@th has triggered grief and outrage across Nigeria’s health sector, with the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) announcing plans for an autopsy to determine the exact cause.
