Internet personality, Raye has opened up on why she stopped attending church services.

She spoke in a recent video shared online.

Raye said the moment she realized her problems were more of an economic issue than a spiritual issue, she took the decision to stop going to church and focus on how to improve herself economically.

She said: ‘’I stopped going to church because I realized that my problem was not a spiritual problem but it was about an economical problem. It was more of the country I grew up in. It was not cursed, nothing is wrong with you, your family does not have any curse, your village people do not have any effect on you. The only thing that is making you slow as an average youth is because  you are literally growing up in an economy that makes things five times harder for an average person to succeed.

I used to do a lot of night vigil until I woke up one day and I said this problem is not a spiritual problem. It's just basically an economic problem.

I love God to be very honest but I genuinely believe I do not have any curse.

The minute I changed my mindset and said there is no curse after me, I need to look for a way how to break out of poverty, I started finding solutions for myself.

To break out of the economic curse, you have to find a way to fend for yourself outside the box but stop depending on that information that you are cursed from your father's side or mothers side.

That is the real curse. The real curse is holding on to that mindset''
