Former Big Brother Naija Star, Leo DaSilva has accused Yoruba elders of being greedy for selling family land to Igbo people.

He was reacting after Scott Iguma, a social commentator called out corruption in the real estate sector.

Iguma had stated that Yorubas have become more tribalistic because they are enraged that other tribes have "invaded" Lagos. However, he pointed out that the Yorubas are not victims but enablers.

He said that it is the Yoruba elders that willingly sell their family lands to the Igbos. He pointed out that the Igbos did not steal the lands but purchased them.

He added that Yorubas should hold their traditional leaders and elders responsible because after selling the lands, they use the money to buy exotic cars, rather than to enrich the lives of the people.

He concluded by saying that if Yorubas feel their land has been invaded by foreigners, they should call on leaders to build sea ports and functional international airports in other states so that foreigners can return to their states to do business.

He further stated that the Yorubas benefit from foreigners being in their land. He pointed out that many oil companies in the Niger Delta have their head offices in Lagos and those companies pay tax to Lagos State.

Reacting, former Big Brother Naija Star, Leo DaSilva blamed Yoruba elders for giving others a reason to laugh at Yorubas due to their greed.

Dasilva wrote on X: "lol this narrative of Yoruba elders selling family land to our Igbo people, that’s where I will always blame us Yoruba people.

"Everyone is now using it to make fun of us.

"Your parents that are greedy and fighting their siblings for property they didn’t work for, caused this."
