Atiku’s presence at the meeting signals his deeper involvement in ADC’s evolving role as a coalition platform ahead of the 2027 polls.

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on Wednesday attended the African Democratic Congress (ADC) stakeholders’ meeting in Abuja, joining other political figures, including former Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai.

In a post via his official 𝕏 handle on Thursday, Atiku described the meeting as a gathering of Nigerians committed to challenging “the oligarchs who promote poverty and insecurity.”

“I am currently at the stakeholders meeting of the Coalition African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Abuja. It’s a meeting of the Nigerian people against the oligarchs who promote poverty and insecurity in the land.”

Others at the meeting include former Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal, former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy from 2019 to 2023, Isa Ali Pantami and former Governor of Kwara State, Abdulfatah Ahmed.
