The politician also debunked claims that the incumbent Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, was also set to join the APC with him.
Rabiu Kwankwaso, a former presidential candidate and chieftain of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has reacted to reports that he has concluded plans to return to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
This is as he denied claims that he had sent a letter to the APC National Chairman intimating him of a decision to return to the party.
The politician also debunked claims that the incumbent Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, was also set to join the APC with him.
According to Kwankwaso, who made the clarification in a statement on Friday released via his 𝕏 account, members of the public should disregard the fake news and only consider information from established official channels.
“We have been alerted to some online statements suggesting that we have submitted a letter of intent to join a political party in the country.
“We would like to clarify that we have not made any such submission to any party.
“The public is therefore advised to stay informed of any further information regarding our matter through the established official channels,” he said.
