Flooding: Lagos State Government Remove Houses Blocking Free Flow Of Water In Lekki

The government, on Friday, September 26, began demolishing structures obstructing the free flow of stormwater along the Ikota River alignment in Lekki, Eti-Osa.

To tackle recurring flooding in the state, operatives from the Drainage Enforcement and Compliance Department of the Lagos State Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources, has begun demolishing structures.

The government, on Friday, September 26, began demolishing structures obstructing the free flow of stormwater along the Ikota River alignment in Lekki, Eti-Osa.

Recall that during the week, the state witnessed heavy flooding that took over many peoples homes, destroyed their properties as well the cars of commuters.
