Popular Nigerian singer, Seyi Shay, has kicked against those claiming that men are not important.

According to her, such a narrative is dangerous.

The music star claimed that a lot of women who have a father figure in their lives growing up are more stable with better values than the ones that don’t.

She noted that the narrative that “men are not important” is only a decoy to create more broken homes.

Speaking in a recent episode of The Honest Bunch podcast, she said, “Most women who have a father figure in thier lives are generally more stable. They had a lot more access to good education and good morals growing up than the ones that don’t.

“Also, there is a bar when they want to get married or when they chose male friends. All these narrative of men are not important is bullsh*t because that’s just an agenda for more divisions in our homes so that we can churn out more broken souls and more lost females and males.”

The 39-year-old singer said she is grateful she didn’t had a daughter in her 20s, stressing that she now has the experience and capacity to raise child better.

She explained that with her experience, she would be able to guide her daughter as not to make the same mistakes she made when it comes to men, friendship, and other endeavours.
