Abducted Kwara Pastor Confirmed D3ad

It was gathered that abductors initially demanded a ransom of 100 million naira, which the family negotiated down to N5 million naira, but they later reneged on the agreement, demanding an additional N45m.

Rev. James Audu Issa, pastor of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) in Ekati, Patigi Local Government Area of Kwara State, who was abducted by bandits, has been confirmed de@d.

Issa was abducted from his pastorium in Ekati on Thursday, 28th August 2025.

It was gathered that abductors initially demanded a ransom of 100 million naira, which the family negotiated down to N5 million naira, but they later reneged on the agreement, demanding an additional N45m. 

A lecturer, Peter Kolo, confirmed the sad development on Wednesday, October 2, 2025.

“What a sad day. It is with a HEAVY HEART but WITH TOTAL SUBMISSION to the WILL of GOD ALMIGHTY that the NUPE CHRISTIANOM of PATIGI DISTRICT COUNCIL OF the EVANGELICAL CHURCH WINNING ALL (ECWA) DENOMINATION was woken up early this Morning to the SAD NEWS of the GLORIOUS HOME CALL of REV. JAMES AUDU ISSAH, an Indigene of NDANAKU that was KIDNAPPED at his Station, ECWA CHURCH, EKATI, in PATIGI LGA, Kwara State, about ONE MONTH PLUS AGO and was in CAPTIVITY until the News of his Demise filtered Out last night.

"The Sad News of his Demise which occurred on a date that We do not know, was in the hands of the FULANI OUTLAWS/BANDITS terrorising the Entire EDU & PATIGI LGAS, KWARA NORTH of KWARA STATE, NIGERIA,” he wrote.
