Wale Adedoyin, a former member of the Osun State House of Assembly has threatened to kill an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Femi Onigbogi.
Adedoyin made the claim during a political meeting in Ilesa West Local Government Area of the state.
Adedoyin, a close ally of former Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, was seen openly issuing the threat while addressing party members at a weekly APC general meeting on Sunday in a post shared on X.
Adedoyin, who spoke in Yoruba in the video, said, “Tell Femi Onigbogi not to come out; he should stay inside. If he comes out, he will be killed.”
Onigbogi, a lawyer and former member of the Governing Council of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, was the target of Adedoyin’s threat.
According to Sahara Reporters, efforts to reach both men for clarification were unsuccessful, as multiple calls to their known phone numbers went unanswered as of the time of filing this report.
Adedoyin previously served as Commissioner for Agriculture under Aregbesola’s administration before representing Ilesa West in the Osun State House of Assembly.
He has faced repeated accusations of anti-party activities during the 2022 governorship election and the 2023 general elections.
