Bandits have kidnapped Mallam Sadis Isa, the Chairman of the Council of Scholars in Gummi Local Government Area of Zamfara State, along with several other passengers.
The incident occurred on Tuesday evening, October 7, 2025 along the Gusau–Gummi highway.
According to security analyst Bakatsine, the attackers blocked the road, stopped vehicles, and whisked away an unspecified number of travellers.
"Yesterday evening, bandits blocked the Gusau–Gummi road in Zamfara State, stopping vehicles and abducting several passengers including Malam Sadis Isa, Chairman of the Council of Scholars, Gummi LGA,” he wrote.
