Olayinka described Atiku as a hypocrite who failed to condemn the murder of Deborah in Sokoto.

Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, on Thursday criticized former Vice President Atiku Abubakar for supporting the protest demanding the release of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

Olayinka described Atiku as a hypocrite who failed to condemn the murder of Deborah in Sokoto.

Since June 2021, Kanu has been detained by the Department of State Services, DSS, after he was rearrested in Kenya and repatriated back to Nigeria.

Currently, the IPOB leader is facing terrorism-related charges before the Justice James Omotosho-led Abuja Federal High Court.

While the trial lingers, Kanu has been raising alarm over his deteriorating health in DSS custody.

However, Olayinka posted on X: “This same Atiku that failed to speak against the murder of Deborah in Sokoto then ooo.

“Hypocrite @atiku did a tweet condemning Deborah’s murder but quickly deleted it.”
