Sunday Oliseh, a former Super Eagles captain, has declared striker Victor Osimhen as Nigeria’s best footballer at present.
According to Oliseh, if Osimhen plays his next four games like he did against Benin Republic in the World Cup qualifier, he will be heading to the Premier League for a crazy amount of money.
Osimhen, who was linked with Premier League clubs Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal in the past, scored a hat-trick against Benin Republic to qualify Nigeria for the World Cup playoffs earlier this week.
Speaking on his podcast, Oliseh said: “When it comes to Osimhen, I think four more games. If Osimhen plays the next three or four games like he did against Benin, I can assure you that in the next one or two years, he will be heading to the Premier League. And they will buy him for crazy money.
“He is the best player we have at the moment, even though Lookman is rated a bit above him because he is the current African Player of the Year.
“But when you are talking about quality and what a player brings to the game, he is the best.”
