Tinubu Appoints New Humanitarian Affairs minister

According to Onanuga, the President had already sent the details of the appointee to the Senate for confirmation.

 
Nigeria's President Bola Tinubu has announced the appointment of a new Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction Minister.
 
He has now appointed Dr. Bernard Mohammed Doro in the position.
 
The appointment followed the appointment of the former minister, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, as National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
 
Presidential spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, who announced this in a statement on Tuesday, said the appointment is, however, subject to confirmation by the upper legislative chamber, the Senate.
 
According to Onanuga, the President had already sent the details of the appointee to the Senate for confirmation.
 
Doro was born on January 23, 1969, in Kwall, Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State.
 
Onanuga said the appointee has over 20 years of multidisciplinary experience in clinical practice, pharmaceutical management, strategic leadership, and community engagement in the UK and Nigeria.
