Tuoyo explained that he was at the club in his role as a promoter, helping clients secure a table when NDLEA officers, accompanied by military personnel, suddenly stormed the venue.

BBNaija star, Tuoyo Ideh has shared his experience after officers of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) violently arrested him during a raid at Proxy Nightclub in Victoria Island, Lagos

Recall that the raid took place in the early hours of Sunday, October 26.

A popular Lagos socialite Pretty Mike and over 100 other patrons were apprehended during the incident.

Sharing his position while accusing officers of the NDLEA of assault in a new video on Monday night, Tuoyo explained that he was at the club in his role as a promoter.

He said: “I’m a promoter; if you see me outside, it’s for business, promoting different clubs. I hadn’t even been inside 30 minutes when suddenly everyone was told to go down. I looked up and saw people in black uniforms and military personnel. They took our phones, checked everything I had — even my socks — and found nothing. After that, we were ordered outside around 3am.

“We sat on the floor, which was humiliating, and after some hours, a woman pointed at me. Five men rushed me, slapped me, and one said, ‘Na you go post abi? Shoot him.’ They beat me, hit me with sticks, kicked and slapped me. I was rolling on the floor, struggling to breathe. I’ve never been beaten like that in my life.”
