However, Blessing later revealed that her distress was connected to a robbery incident in her home and not a case of abuse.

Controversial relationship coach Blessing CEO has addressed the viral video that sparked panic among her followers earlier in the week.

The video, which showed her looking distressed and claiming to be unsafe, sparked online rumours that she was being assaulted by her partner, businessman Ikechukwu Ogbonna, also known as IVD.

However, Blessing later revealed that her distress was connected to a robbery incident in her home and not a case of abuse.

In an interview with Sunday Scoop, she explained that a domestic worker employed as a housekeeper had stolen valuable items from their residence.

According to her, the situation escalated when IVD confronted the worker, leading to a physical exchange that was misinterpreted online.

The mother of two said that she later took down the video following police instructions to allow proper investigation into the robbery.

The social media personality stated that many people jumped to conclusions because of her partner’s past controversies.

She said the assumptions were unfair and insisted that IVD could never assault her, stressing that she was capable of defending herself.

She said: “It was a robbery incident. The boy we employed as a housekeeper robbed us and sold some of our personal belongings. When IVD confronted him, there was a physical altercation. That was what people saw in the video. I only took the video down because the police asked me to remove it so the case could be properly investigated.

“People just love negative stories. Because IVD has been associated with domestic violence in the past, many assume any cry for help means he is beating me. But IVD cannot beat me. If he slaps me, I will slap him back. We will fight.”
