The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Sunday denounced reports claiming that the United States Department of War is planning to invade Nigeria over alleged Christian genocide.

The party noted that Nigeria will rise not with foreign bombs, but with courage, leadership, and vision.

Recall that US President Donald Trump has designated Nigeria as a Country of Particular Concern (CPC) over reported Christian genocide.

Following this designation, the US Department of War declared readiness to take action in Nigeria.

Reacting, the spokesman of APC in Lagos State, Mogaji Seye Oladejo, described the claim as a “dangerous and disgraceful trend perpetuated by a faction of politically frustrated loudspeakers who believe that because they failed woefully at the ballot box, Nigeria must burn for their ego to breathe.”

In a statement he signed, Oladejo said only traitors wish for foreign boots on home soil.

He said: “To even daydream about a United States invasion of Nigeria is not only delusional, it is the height of treachery and emotional bankruptcy. This is what happens when desperation meets intellectual emptiness: people begin to flirt with national suicide.

“Let it be stated unequivocally: any Nigerian who prays, whispers, types, retweets, or amplifies the fantasy of foreign military intervention is not an activist, they are traitors to the flag and enemies of the Republic.

“If your political heartbreak has matured into treasonous daydreams, then your problem is no longer political; it is suicidal.”

Oladejo maintained that Nigeria will never surrender its sovereignty.

“We will not trade our flag for foreign boots. We will not exchange our destiny for pity from outsiders. We will not allow the tantrums of bitter losers to rewrite our fate.

“Nigeria will rise, not with foreign bombs, but with Nigerian courage, leadership, and vision,”
he added.
