Former Miss Nigeria and BBNaija contestant Beauty Tukura has revealed she nearly took her life after being disqualified from Big Brother Naija.
She opened up when she appeared on a podcast, BeyondWithEzinne.
Beauty said: “The heat was too much, and personally, I felt like nothing I said was going to make sense because all they wanted to do was crucify me like Jesus. It was very hard."
According to her, after her disqualification, she struggled to face her parents, admitting, “I was too ashamed to see them. I didn’t know how to face them. I was in a very bad place.”
Her parents, aware of her emotional nature, continued to reach out with messages of love, reminding her of their support.
Beauty also shared how deeply the experience affected her mental health. “I cried every day. I was thinking of ending it. I almost actually committed suicide,” she confessed. She said the judgment from strangers made her feel isolated, but support from her fans around the world helped her through the darkest moments. “I decided to focus on the love. Since then, I’ve always focused on the positive messages,” she said.
Reflecting on the ordeal, she acknowledged her mistakes and the lessons learned. “That was the lowest point of my life, and I’ve decided it will stay that way. There’s no room for such mistakes anymore,” she said.
