In a statement released on Wednesday through its official publication, Shipping Position, and made available to the newsmen in Lagos, the NPA detailed the nature of the ongoing port activities.
The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has reported that 20 vessels are currently offloading petroleum products and essential goods at Lagos ports, including Apapa, Tin Can Island, and Lekki Deep Seaport.
In a statement released on Wednesday through its official publication, Shipping Position, and made available to the newsmen in Lagos, the NPA detailed the nature of the ongoing port activities.
According to the report, the vessels are offloading various cargoes such as frozen fish, petrol, general goods, containers, bulk sugar, buckwheat, bulk fertiliser, bulk urea, bulk gas, and bulk gypsum.
The agency also disclosed that two additional ships had arrived and were waiting to berth, carrying bulk wheat and containers.
Meanwhile, the NPA stated that 20 more vessels are expected to arrive at the Lagos ports complex between November 12 and November 14, with consignments that include general cargo, buckwheat, bulk sugar, base oil, aviation fuel, diesel, gas oil, bulk urea, containers, and petrol.
