According to community members, the armed herders stormed the villages in the early hours of the day, forcing many residents to flee for safety.
Suspected armed herdsmen have carried out fresh attacks on Div, Nzaav, and Jato-Aka in the Turan area of Kwande Local Government Area, Benue State, leaving two people de@d and many others injured.
It was gathered that two identified victims, Iornenge Utyo and Ywerkaa Tsavnande, were recovered lifeless following the attack, while several persons mostly women and children remain missing as search operations continue across the affected communities.

The extent of destruction is yet to be fully ascertained as locals continue combing bushes and deserted homes in search of missing persons.
Residents are calling for urgent security intervention to prevent further bloodshed and displacement in the affected communities.
