Nnamdi Kanu was sentenced to life imprisonment for terrorism on Thursday, November 20, 2025.

Media personality Noble Igwe has criticised those who are now speaking up about the conviction of IPOB leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, despite remaining silent during the group’s sit-at-home orders, the closure of schools and markets, and the resulting bloodshed.

Nnamdi Kanu was sentenced to life imprisonment for terrorism on Thursday, November 20, 2025.

Noble Igwe in a post on his Instagram story, said a lot of people who kept silent amid the shut down of schools every Monday and the k!llings by rampaging unknown gunmen have suddenly found their voices following the conviction.

“One day, I hope you all look back and remember the South East before he and his likes showed up on the scene,”
he wrote.

“A lot of people kept quiet while children stayed home every Monday, kept quiet while brothers k!lled brothers, kept quiet while markets were shut down on Mondays. They moved around with military convoys in silence but suddenly, they 've found their voices now that public likes are involved.”
