In a post shared on Instagram, Omokri opined that Kanu could have used his popularity to start a political party to elect governors and senators and then use the elected officers in his party to push for the change he desired.

Nigerian author and former presidential aide, Reno Omokri believes that Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed IPOB movement, could have leveraged his widespread influence to drive meaningful and positive change in the South East instead of pursuing a confrontational path.

In a post shared on Instagram, Omokri opined that Kanu could have used his popularity to start a political party to elect governors and senators and then use the elected officers in his party to push for the change he desired.

He shared a video of Kanu's supporters outside his home in Abia and wrote: ‘’Nnamdi Kanu Could Have Used This Popularity Non Violently To Start a Party To Elect Governors and Senators To Push His Case For a Plebiscite''
