Ex-PDP Spokesperson, Kola Ologbondiyan Resigns From PDP, Cites Personal Reasons

In the letter, titled ‘Notification of Membership Withdrawal’, Ologbondiyan explained that after reflecting on his time in the party, he had concluded that it was time for him to part ways with the PDP.

Former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kola Ologbondiyan, has formally resigned from the party, citing personal reasons for his decision.

In a statement posted on 𝕏 on Saturday, Ologbondiyan shared a letter dated December 5, 2025, addressed to the Chairman of Okekoko Ward (09), Kabba/Bunu Local Government, Kogi State, in which he formally notified the party of his decision to leave.

In the letter, titled ‘Notification of Membership Withdrawal’, Ologbondiyan explained that after reflecting on his time in the party, he had concluded that it was time for him to part ways with the PDP.

“It is now imperative to bring your attention to the fact that I have reviewed my participation in the PDP and came to the conclusion that, for personal reasons, I need to make my exit,”
he stated.

He emphasised that his decision to withdraw from the party was final, stating, “I have therefore come to a decision to formally withdraw my membership of the PDP, henceforth.”

Despite his resignation, Ologbondiyan expressed gratitude to the party’s leadership for the opportunities to serve both the party and Nigeria. He thanked the leadership for the trust and responsibility granted to him during his tenure in the PDP.

“Let me start by thanking you, as well as other levels of leadership in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), for the opportunities provided for me to serve the party as well as our fatherland, Nigeria,”
he wrote in the letter.
