Stop Humiliating Africa - Yemi Alade Lashes Out At BET Awards Organizers

Effyzzie signed act, Yemi Alade has joined UK-born Ghanaian singer, Fuse ODG, to condemn the condescending attitude of the BET Awards organizers towards African artistes.

So it is no longer news that Yemi Alade didn't win the Best International Act (Africa) category at the 2015 BET Awards last night in Los Angeles, so did Star Boy, Wizkid.

What is however news, is a trend that if allowed to fester, might see African artistes in the nearest future boycotting the awards organized by Black Entertainment Television.

Earlier today, we reported why another nominee for the Best International Act (UK) category, Fuse ODG, refused to attend the BET Awards, because he reasoned that it didn't respect the hard work put in by African acts.

A similar sentiment has been shared by Yemi Alade, who described the practice over the years where the African category of the awards is held hours before the 'main event' as a public humiliation of Africa.

Though she has since deleted the tweet, we were able to grab a screen shot. Lol

Meanwhile, did she just insinuate that Stoneboy from Ghana, who won the Best African Act category, wasn't deserving of the award?
