Isaac Fayose, a Nigerian businessman, has taken to social media to express his concern over the rising poverty levels in his home state, Ekiti.

In a video shared on social media, Fayose said the state which has the slogan ‘’Fountain of Knowledge'' has now become the ‘’Fountain of Poverty''.

Fayose said this while reacting to a trending video of Ekiti state civil servants queuing as early as 3am just to receive 2kg gas donated by an philanthropist.

He said the state workers have now become so impoverished that they risk their lives to step out as early as 3am just to receive 2kg cooking gas from a philanthropist.
