Members of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) have started assembling at the Congress Secretariat in Abuja ahead of a nationwide protest over the growing insecurity across the country.
Some of those already at the Secretariat include the President of the NLC, Joe Ajaero, alongside civil society allies.
Notable among them are Omoyele Sowore and his colleagues in the Revolution Now Movement.
Security personnel have also been deployed to the area, including the police, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, and officials of the Department of State Services.
Recall that the NLC had scheduled 17 December for the launch of a nationwide protest against the insecurity confronting the country.
