In a video circulating on social media, the cleric explained that “Christmarity” represents a Christ-like lifestyle rather than the traditional celebration of Christmas.
Chukwuemeka Cyril Ohanaemere, widely known as Pastor Odumeje, has sparked online reactions after presenting a unique take on Christmas, stating that he does not celebrate the holiday in the usual way but instead observes what he terms “Christmarity.”
In a video circulating on social media, the cleric explained that “Christmarity” represents a Christ-like lifestyle rather than the traditional celebration of Christmas.
According to him, the concept signifies enjoyment and Christ-like.
“I’m not celebrating Christmas. I am celebrating Christmarity which is Christ-like,” he said.
Odumeje added that the word Christmas sounds to him like conducting a church mass, while “Christmarity” is more aligned with being “Christy.”
As he attempted to further explain the distinction in English, the pastor hilariously switched to Igbo, jokingly saying he would stop speaking to avoid biting his tongue.
