The driver and the women have been transferred to Al Jufra Security Directorate for legal action.
Police have arrested a Libyan driver for allegedly attempting to smuggle nine undocumented female migrants from Nigeria.
According to Migrant Rescue Watch, an organisation that monitors migrant activities in Libya, the arrest was made during a stop and search control operation at the security gates in Al Jufra district.
The arrest took place on January 2, 2026.
The driver and the women have been transferred to Al Jufra Security Directorate for legal action.
