AFCON 2025: Super Eagles Trash Mozambique To Qualify For Quarter-Finals

The Super Eagles won all their Group C fixtures and again proved their superiority over the Mambas in Fez.

Nigeria booked their place in the quarter-finals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations after a dominant 4–0 victory over Mozambique on Monday night.

This is the first time they are winning their first four fixtures at the tournament in history.

The Super Eagles won all their Group C fixtures and again proved their superiority over the Mambas in Fez.

Ademola Lookman opened the scoring, before setting up Victor Osimhen doubled Nigeria’s lead before the break.

Osimhen got his brace almost immediately after being set up by Lookman again.

The fourth goal came after Akor Adams lashed in a powerful effort from inside the area.

Eric Chelle’s men will now wait for the winner of Burkina Faso vs DR Congo in the quarter-finals.
