Police Do Not Need A Search Warrant To Search Anybody - Police Spokesperson, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi Says

Babaseyi stated that the constitution permits the police to carry out a search on a person without a warrant.

The spokesperson of the Ogun State Police Command, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, has stated that the police do not require a warrant to search individuals in Nigeria.

In a post shared on X, Babaseyi stated that the constitution permits the police to carry out a search on a person without a warrant.

But, he explained that a warrant is required when a search is to be conducted in a buildings or premises.

He stated this in an exchange with an X-User.
