Her colleague, Lanre Alewilese, made the development known in an Instagram post.

“This is to inform you that all burial plans of our Late Sister & Colleague, Bunmi Akinnaanu has been CANCELLED over issues arising within her family.
"We’re deeply sorry for inconveniences”, Alewilese said.
Recall that the committee earlier announced that the deceased will be laid to rest on Wednesday January 20 2026.
