Tacha argued that Lagos state is overwhelmed because of the number of people who leave their states to come look for greener pastures in the South Western state.
Tacha Akide, the popular Nigerian reality TV star, has criticised Nigerians who frequently attack Lagos State.
In a video shared on social media, Tacha argued that Lagos state is overwhelmed because of the number of people who leave their states to come look for greener pastures in the South Western state.
She posed a question asking the critics what their own homestates have done for them.
'Before you criticize Lagos, ask yourself, what is your own state doing? Everyday I hear people say Lagos is dirty, Lagos is smelling, Lagos si full of beggars and I laugh because Lagos is not the problem here. Lagos is the symptom.
"Listen, we have 36 states in Nigeria and yet Lagos is carrying the weight of the whole country. Over 20 million Nigerians live in Lagos. Not Japanese people, I said Nigerians.
"Let me ask you, have you tried to manage Nigerians before? Try it first. The real question is why are all these people in Lagos, Nigeria?
"They are in Lagos because governors in Nigeria do absolutely nithing. They sit in their offices for eight years, no jobs, no infrastructure, no night life, no economy…absolutely nothing. They don't get judged for it . They don't get called out for it so people have no choice than to run to Lagos for greener pastures.
"If about 10 to 15 states were doing half of what Lagos is doing, the pressure on Lagos will reduce drastically but every other state is Nigeria is sleeping. Yes, they are sleeping'' she said
