Eno interrupted the contractor during the conversation, questioning why he had prioritised the construction of a mortuary over other critical hospital facilities.
Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno has voiced dissatisfaction with the pace and order of work on a hospital project in the state.
A video shared on Facebook by the former Special Adviser on General Duties to the Director-General of the Nigerian Meteorological Agency, Uche Nworah, captured the contractor briefing Governor Eno during an inspection visit.
However, Eno interrupted the contractor during the conversation, questioning why he had prioritised the construction of a mortuary over other critical hospital facilities.
He said, “Why did you start with mortuary, I said build a hospital and you started with a mortuary. Don’t say that again.”
Earlier, Governor Eno recently presented brand new Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs) to all former deputy governors in the state.
Presenting the keys of the brand-new Land Cruisers to them, the governor said the gift was in acknowledgement and appreciation of their services to the state.
Eno also announced a pay raise for all traditional rulers and enhanced medical care.
He urged them to maintain peace and cordial working relationship with their subjects in various domains.
He noted that given their sacrifices and commitment to the development of the state at different times, they deserved some level of comfort and solicited their support for peace and the enabling environment for development to thrive under his administration’s ARISE Agenda.
The brief ceremony was held at Government House, Uyo.
